1. — a proportion of arrival and expenditure of a matter with allowance for possibilities of its past or present accumulation for a fixed time period for an object under consideration; a material balance can be counted for a separate technological operation, a manufacturing process, a separate production, a manufacturing facility as a whole, and also for natural objects (see Basin approach).
