Ablation
Аблатион- [Latin ablatio - taking away, loss, removal] - in glaciology - an abatement of mass of glacier or snow cover occurring as a result of thaw, vaporization or mechanical deicing; in geomorphology - it is used sometimes as a synonym of such terms as “surface outwash” and “denudation”.
